elastic cord
Found the weight of the cord too heavy compared to the harness. Cord tends to flop about when the lead is attached. Otherwise harness fits well, although the leather is a bit stiff and edges tend to dig into the cat's fur more than expected.

He hasn't been able to escape the harness. But we did have a problem with the metal ring that connects the leash. It came off and he took off.

Harness of the future!
Easy to get on and get on quickly. My 13lbs rescue fits perfectly and has been unsuccessful in trying to escape, like not a chance. And when I pick it up she gets excited after two uses. I got the extending leash and she loves the extra freedom and it’s good quality.

Amazing cat...
If you’re looking for a harness for your cat, this is the one. Perfectly designed with your cat’s body in mind. First time my cat tried to run, her first instinct when she reached the end of the leash wasn’t to turn around and try to back out like other harnesses out there. At times this instinct does kick in but she has had zero luck doing so. And no cheap plastic clips to break so perfect for bigger cats too. Mine is about 13lbs and not quite 2 years old. It’s designed to fit snug, and to get slightly tighter around their body if they try to pull away making it extremely difficult to slip out but not uncomfortable so they don’t panic even more than they might be already. I highly recommend this harness for any cat that wants to be outside.

So far so good, he has a history of escaping so we are watching him very closely. I have only had it for about a week, seems to be working. Only time will tell, fingers crossed because it’s a really nice harness.
